DID YOU KNOW...
LANDFILL SITES PRODUCE AROUND ONE
QUARTER OF THE UK’S EMISSIONS OF
METHANE, A GREENHOUSE GAS WHICH IS
20 TIMES MORE POTENT THAN CO2.
Benefits of Recycling...
It reduces landfill by decreasing the amount of rubbish
sent to landfill sites.
There are over 1,500 landfill sites in the UK and they produce
harmful methane gasses. By sending items to landfill, we are
effectively removing reusable resources from circulation. Landfill sites
contaminate the land, water, air and are rapidly filling up!
