AS A SIMPLE RULE –
IF IT’S FOOD AND YOU DON’T EAT IT, RECYCLE IT!
By separating your food waste from your other recyclables and general
waste, it can be collected and then composted, turning it into a fertiliser
which is resued in gardens and farm land.
FOOD WASTE IS STILL COLLECTED WEEKLY. IT IS NOT AFFECTED BY
THE CHANGE TO FORTNIGHTLY BLACK BAG/BIN COLLECTIONS.
• Please only put items we have asked for in the food recycling bin,
this will enable us to produce quality compost.
• Fill bags to 80% of their capacity so that you can tie them securely
before putting them out for collection.
• There is no charge for either the containers or the bags.
• Please place your Food Waste Bin out for collection anytime between
7pm the night before and 7am on the morning of collection.

throw away, so don’t over indulge at the supermarket.
