Garden/Green Waste Recycling
Garden waste such as leaves, twigs, grass cuttings and hedge
trimmings can be recycled by placing the items into clear recycling
bags and placing the bags out for collection on your normal collection
day before 7am.
The Council is able to take fruit or vegetables from your garden, but due
to recent legislation, they cannot take any waste that comes from your
kitchen. These need to be placed in your Kitchen Caddy/Food Waste Bin –
details on this can be found earlier in this guide.

Taf not businesses such as landscape gardeners.
Home Composting
Residents have the opportunity to purchase home composting bins at a
subsidised rate of £10. The home composting bins come in two sizes –
220 litres or 330 litres.

All the garden waste we collect is composted and the
compost we produce is used in our parks and allotments or
on land reclamation and landscaping schemes.
