Cinema Exhibitors Association
card
is a national card scheme aimed
at disabled people that allows one
free ticket for the person
accompanying them. To be eligible
for the card the person with the
disability needs to be in receipt of
Disability Living Allowance,
Attendance Allowance or be
registered blind. There is a small
charge for membership - application
forms are available from cinemas and
theatres supporting the scheme or
from the website.
Some cinemas have facilities to screen
films with subtitles for hearing impaired
people and a narrated soundtrack for
visually impaired people.
