PACT
stands for Partnerships And
Communities Together. It offers
you a chance to give your views on
the issues that concern you. PACT
meetings decide on the priorities
that matter most to their overall
community, which the Police,
Council and partners concerned in
Community Safety will then aim to
put into action.
In Merthyr meetings are held regularly in every
ward in the County Borough where local
Neighbourhood Policing Teams together with
your local Councillors are available to listen to
your concerns about crime and disorder in your
community. PACT meetings are often held in
partnership with Communities First and you can
find our when your next meeting is taking place

Pro-tect Scheme
entitles vulnerable
people (e.g. victims of domestic
burglary, elderly, single parents, infirm,
disabled and ethnic minorities) to have
their houses surveyed and security
devices fitted for a small charge.
